SANDAKAN: The monthly gathering of the Sandakan Kapitan Cina Group (山打根甲必丹聯委會) serves as an avenue for its members to exchange views in finding solutions to resolving issues affecting the Chinese community.
We will continue to work closely with the elected representatives of their respective areas in the interest of the people, Gabungan Ketua Masyarakat Cina Sandakan (山打根甲必丹聯委會) chairman (主席) Chin Thai Set (甲必丹陳太雪) disclosed.
Chin (甲必丹陳太雪) was speaking at the dinner hosted by Taman Sibuga Kapitan Thomas Lau(甲必丹刘志强) at Zen Japanese Cuisine in Sandakan Harbour Square. Lau is also the managing partner of the Japanese restaurant.
“The dinner is also to celebrate Chap Goh Mei,” Chin (甲必丹陳太雪) said.
He (甲必丹陳太雪) said members of the Sandakan Kapitan Cina group (山打根甲必丹聯委會) played an important role, contributing to social, economic and political development in areas under their jurisdiction.
