SANDAKAN:  A good education is a vital tool to be successful in life.

“Education is a very important element that you will need for later life,” Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin said in her address when officiating the SJK (C ) Tai Tong annual Chinese New Year celebration on Friday.

The youths of today play a key role in determining the future of our country. Do not let obstacles get in the way of a proper education as it can benefit you gain a better assessment of what you are skilled of doing, Linda said.

Linda also commended the school management board and officials for maintaining good educational facilities and called on the students to make good use of them in their efforts towards striving for academic excellence.

Nearly 600 students, their parents, teachers, school officials and members of the school management board attended the event held at the school compound in Taman Sibuga.

Also present were Sabah DongZhong president and SJK (C ) Tai Tong Honorary Permanent Chairman Tan Sri Andrew Liew Sui Fatt, school chairman Datuk Tain Fook En, Head Liaison Officer of Batu Sapi MP Office Kong Nyuk Thou and headmistress Tan Chew Keng.
