by her aides including Head Liaison Officer of Batu Sapi MP Office, Kong Nyuk
Thou, Linda visited the women at their house during her “turun padang”
programme. One woman is aged in her 60s and the other is in her 80s.
Linda
promised to help them repair their house after one of the women shared with
Linda a recent incident that caused damage to their house.
Their
kitchen and toilet were damaged by a falling tree but they were fortunate
nobody was hurt. Both women lived by themselves in the house with no dependents
to care for them.
The
woman wept as she related their hardship and how they struggled to make both
ends meet to the visiting Batu Sapi Member of Parliament.
Linda
said she would look into how she could provide the necessary assistance to the
women.
