A large scale gotong royong
(cleanliness exercise) will be held soon to rid the filthy surroundings near
several warehouses at Bandar Karamunting of its eyesore.
Batu Sapi Member of Parliament (MP)
Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin disclosed that her office would organize the event
with the collaboration of other agencies to clean up the area.
Linda inspected facilities at the
commercial township during her turun padang visits to her constituency and
noted that many public facilities in the neighbourhood were in need of urgent
attention.
Missing or broken concrete covers
will be replaced as the exposed drains are a safety hazard to both residents
and visitors, Linda said.
According to Linda, she gives
emphasis to public safety and she has instructed her offices tmake the
necessary arrangement to replace the drain covers.
