BATU SAPI:-   Sandakan District Tennis Association (SDTA) received financial support from Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin for its tennis development programmes.

The cheque was presented by Linda to SDTA Honorary Secretary James Leong   (梁駿健) at her office here yesterday. Also present was Head Liaison Officer of Batu Sapi MP Office Kong Nyuk Thou.

Meanwhile, SDTA president Fernando D. Rulloda said funds received from the public would be utilized to implement SDTA’s tennis development programmes and also clubhouse and courts maintenance.

According to Fernando, SDTA will be organizing tennis clinics for students as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the game and also to groom young players to represent the district at both state and national level events.

Fernando thanked all donors and sponsors, Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Haji Tawfiq Datuk Haji Abu Bakar Titingan, Sandakan Municipal Council and  Sabah Tennis Association (STA) for their continued support to SDTA.

“Their contributions have helped to ensure the success of the activities organized by SDTA,” Fernando said.
