SANDAKAN:- St.
John Ambulance Sandakan District successfully organized its Annual
Jogathon recently the activity
started from the SJAM headquarters at 8 am.
This jogathon covered a distance of three
kilometers. There were three categories including male and
female student (12 years old and below), men and women open ( 13-39
years-old ) and men and women veterans (40 years old and above).
Each group with first, second, third runner-up, and seven
consolations, prizes including hampers and certificates .
This jogathon was intended as a fund-raising
project besides promoting parent and community ties.
This jogathon was participated by a total of 50
participants . St. John Ambulance Sandakan District Chairman Datuk Kong Kwok
Wah flagged off the participants .
Honourary Treasurer Madam Chang Fui
Chew said the money raised will be used to organize a series of lectures
or courses , such as basic first aid .
In his speech , District Commander Mr. Tan Chuan Joo
thanked the participants involved in the jogathon, He also expressed his
sincere thanks to Ayam Brand, Indocafe and K2 for sponsoring the drinks and
food for the event.
Datuk Kwong later presented prizes to the winners . The
event ended at 9:00 am .
