SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Yacht Club (SYC) Harvest
Festival celebration which will be held this evening (Friday) will be
officiated by Karamunting State Assemblyman Charles O. Pang.
The programme includes the SYC Unduk Ngadau and a cultural
performance, SYC commodore Richard Lim(林紫靈) said
after receiving sponsorship for the event from Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri
Panglima Raymond Tan Shu Kiah on Thursday.
Lim (林紫靈) thanked
Datuk Seri Panglima Raymond Tan who is also a SYC Honorary Vice Commodore, for his
continued support of SYC organized activities over the years.
Tan’s Special Assistant Datuk Henry Hung presented the
cheque to Lim (林紫靈) at his
office on Thursday morning. Also present were SYC Rear Commodore James
Leong (梁駿健) and Honorary Treasurer Jeremy Chan (陈在仁).
Lim (林紫靈) took the
opportunity to brief Datuk Henry Hung on the event.
He said the organizing of the Sandakan Yacht Club Harvest
Festival celebration is part of the efforts to assist the Government to promote
tourism through cultural events and also unity among the multi-racial society.
