BATU SAPI:- An elderly woman in Kampung Cecily
used to have sleepless nights whenever it rained because mud and other debris
would be washed into her house.
However it is now a thing of the past thanks to the
assistance extended by Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk Linda Tsen Thau
Lin.
The nightmare for Wong Fong Kyau started following a
mudslide near her house recently. Earth and other debris were washed into her
house in a downpour and she had to clean up the mess after it stopped.
Her plight received Linda's attention when she visited
Kampung Cecily during her “turun padang” programme.
Linda utilized her MP Fund to erect a concrete drain and
also a rain gutter at the roof edge to keep rainwater and mud from washing into
Wong's house.
Wong was grateful to Linda for the prompt action taken in
addressing her problem. She thanked Linda when the latter inspected the newly
constructed facilities yesterday.
Also present was Head Liaison Officer of Batu Sapi MP Office
Kong Nyuk Thou.
