SANDAKAN: A policeman and two others, a Rela and Civil Defence
department personnel, were held after a woman claimed she was raped at a hotel
here.
The three men aged between 27 and 37 were held after the 21-year-old
foreigner lodged a police report at the station here two days ago.
State Criminal Investigations Department chief Senior Asst Commissioner
Salehhudin today confirmed the report and the arrests of the three suspects.
He added investigations are continuing into the case and that the
suspects will be detained further.
According to the report, the woman claimed she was apprehended by the
three men after failing to produce any identity documents on Monday.
They then took turns raping her at a hotel in the town area. Two days
later the woman, a foreigner, lodged a police report here.
